- Competition design for a hospital in the Netherlands. The main circulation areas of the building, including waiting areas for 'out-patient' depts', are arranged around a central courtyard that is part enclosed. The atrium has a water feature running through the space; leading the eye out towards the rural landscape setting of the hospital. The concept for the design responds to 'evidence based research' that patients recover better and quicker from being able to see nature and people going about their everyday activities.
